Cookies
What are cookies? Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They enable the website to recognize your device and store certain information about your settings or your behavior on the website.
Why do we use cookies? We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, to enable certain functions, and to analyze the use of our website. This helps us to continuously improve our services and tailor them to your needs.
Types of cookies We use different types of cookies:
- Necessary cookies: These are essential for the basic functions of the website and ensure that it works properly.
- Performance cookies: These help us analyze how visitors use our website and improve its performance.
- Functional cookies: These enable additional functions, such as saving your preferences or recognizing you when you return to the website.
- Marketing cookies: These are used to display personalized advertisements and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
How can you manage cookies? You can manage your cookie settings in your browser. Most browsers allow you to delete existing cookies, allow or block cookies, and set exceptions for specific websites. Please note that disabling certain cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
Third-party cookies Some cookies are set by third-party services (e.g., social media platforms or analytics providers). These third parties may also collect data about your use of our website. For more information, please refer to the privacy policies of these third parties.
Changes to this cookie policy We may update this cookie policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
This website does not use cookies
Neither its own nor those of third parties. It also does not store anything else in your browser: no Local Storage, no Session Storage, no IndexedDB, and it does not create a fingerprint of your device.
Why No Consent is Required
Consent is required under § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG (Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act) if information is stored in or read from your device that is not absolutely necessary for the desired service. This does not happen here. What your browser provides for display purposes—language, screen width, the "reduce motion" setting—is only used by the site to adjust accordingly and is not stored (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG).
Where the Language Stays
The selected language is included in the page address (?lang=de). If you bookmark it, it will be preserved.
The AI Assistant
The chat window stores its session ID only in the RAM of the open page. If you close the page, it is gone; attached files are deleted shortly thereafter (see Privacy Policy).
Counting without cookies
We count how often our pages are read ourselves – without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. For the number of visitors per day, we calculate an irreversible identifier from your IP address and your browser identifier with a daily changing secret and store only this identifier, never the address. You are not recognizable over multiple days. Details are in the Privacy Policy, Section 4.
Fonts
This website uses only the fonts that are already available on your device (system fonts such as system-ui, Segoe UI, or Roboto). It does not load any web fonts – neither from Google Fonts nor from any other provider. Therefore, no connection to third parties is established for displaying the text, and nothing is stored in your browser for this purpose.
